The Day After the Official Reveal: A Privilege Few Experience

Just one day after its official Australian reveal, Velours Media was invited for an exclusive shoot with the brand-new Ferrari Amalfi, Ferrari’s latest grand tourer, and arguably its most sophisticated creation to date.

Filmed and photographed inside the Ferrari Melbourne showroom, this rare opportunity came in collaboration with Elise Elliott, who shared her insights into the Amalfi’s defining innovations. Together, we documented not just a car, but a statement, where performance meets artistry.

Introducing the Ferrari Amalfi: A New Era of Grand Touring

The Ferrari Amalfi marks a turning point for the Italian brand, blending classic Ferrari emotion with next-generation hybrid intelligence.

Here’s what makes it stand apart:

  1. A New Hybrid Powertrain: The Amalfi introduces Ferrari’s most advanced V8 plug-in hybrid system to date, offering breathtaking acceleration with enhanced efficiency. It delivers the raw thrill of a Ferrari with a lighter environmental footprint, an evolution of power and purpose.

  2. Gran Turismo Reimagined: Designed as the modern successor to the Roma, the Amalfi combines sculptural elegance with everyday usability. It’s a car built for long coastal drives and grand European escapes, luxury, refined for motion.

  3. Interior Elegance and Craftsmanship: Inside, every inch speaks of precision. From hand-stitched Italian leather to the driver-centric dual-cockpit design, Ferrari has elevated comfort without compromising sportiness. Elise Elliott described it as “a living space that moves with you.”

  4. Technology Meets Emotion: The Amalfi features Ferrari’s most intuitive digital interface yet, a curved infotainment system seamlessly integrated into the dash, with gesture controls and haptic feedback that feel organic, not mechanical.

  5. Design Inspired by the Sea: True to its name, the Amalfi’s flowing silhouette draws inspiration from the Italian coastline. The long hood, fastback tail, and sculpted aerodynamics capture the rhythm of waves and light, a Ferrari designed to breathe elegance.

Behind the Lens: Shooting the Amalfi for Ferrari Melbourne

Photographing such an icon demanded a balance of technical mastery and aesthetic restraint. The Ferrari Melbourne showroom provided a pristine stage of glass, light, and reflections, a minimalist environment that let the Amalfi’s curves speak.

We approached the shoot with cinematic intent:

  • Directional soft lighting to reveal contour and motion.

  • A focus on tactile contrasts: chrome, carbon fiber, leather.

  • Wide compositions to highlight the aerodynamic proportions.

The visuals capture Ferrari’s duality: power and poetry, technology and timelessness.

Elise Elliott: Storytelling Behind the Speed

Working alongside Elise Elliott added a rare journalistic depth to the project. Her ability to translate automotive innovation into human emotion gave the story its heartbeat.

As Elise put it during the shoot:

“The Amalfi isn’t just a car, it’s Ferrari redefining what passion feels like in 2025.”

Ferrari, Melbourne, and the Future of Luxury Mobility

Melbourne’s Ferrari showroom is more than a dealership, it’s a cathedral of design and innovation. To be granted access to film and photograph the Ferrari Amalfi within its walls, right after its launch, was a true honor.

For Velours Media, this project stands as a symbol of our mission: To craft visuals that elevate emotion into timeless imagery, blending storytelling and luxury at the highest level.
